Just that crazy new family....

Well, we are embarking on a new torture - oh, I mean adventure - this summer - CAMPING! Recently, we attracted the attention of the whole neighborhood by setting up our new tent in the front yard and making smores over our little camp stove. The kids LOVED it, and Troy was very patient and let them "help" a lot!

I only have one big camping memory as a child, and it went something like this. Go buy all the equipment we need, overload our Toyota Corolla wagon with equipment and all 5 of us, drive up The Grand Mesa, get a flat tire, unload all the new camping equipment, fix tire, can't squeeze camping equipment back in car so camp in nearby field listening to the sound of someone's generator all night, get up early, eat breakfast, go home, sell camping equipment, and just admit it - WE ARE HOTEL PEOPLE!

We are only going to camp in campgrounds where we can have potties and hot showers because I am just not a wilderness girl! Troy and the kiddos may use it some in our backyard even this summer. So, happy camping! Watch out great outdoors, here we come......
