Gotta love trains....

We had such a great time yesterday at Steamtown National Park in Scranton, Pennsylvania. We met Cindy and her family...she is a friend from Hearts At Home, my favorite online bulletin board. It was a terrific way to spend a Sunday afternoon....we had a picnic, rode a steam train, looked around at the museum, and the highlight of our day....we got to take a caboose ride! We just happened to be there on the day they were taking the caboose out for short rides. Ian and Chloe both said several times that the caboose ride was their favorite thing of the day.

We finished up with a visit to a nearby park to let the kids run off some steam....no pun intended! Overall, it was a fun day, and it was exciting to meet someone in real life that I already "knew" from cyberspace.

I'll post pictures later because for some reason they won't upload tonight!

Elissa-

Zack would have LOVED this place! It was better than the Thomas ride that we went on b/c there were all kinds of trains to look at and crawl around in! It was also FREE for kids and only $6 for adults. Train rides were $3 for ages 6 and over....free for 5 and under. That is definitely a little different than our Thomas trip!:)
