God is good!

We are happy to announce that Troy was offered an externship during his first interview, and that in mid-November, he will be headed to the Fairmont Princess Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona!

We are thrilled. The head chef there, Ryan Groban, interviewed Troy on Wednesday the 9th and offered him a job on the spot. It is our understanding that he was interviewing 25-40 people for 2 winter externs, and Troy's interview was the first day. He said, "Let's see...you are the night manager of the deli at a grocery store, go to school full time, have a wife and 2 kids, and have a 3.7 GPA. Is that the best you can do?" HAHAHAHAHAH....that is LOTS of hard work - let me tell you! He told Troy that he was exactly what they were looking for! Yeah, them and lot of other people, I'm thinking. But this guy was SMART and he came a week before everyone else came for the career fair.

For those who don't know, we wanted to go to the Phoenix area because Troy has lots of family there, and we are hoping that it will be a blessing to my arthritis pain this winter! We will be living with Connie and Mario (Troy's mom and stepdad) and continuing to homeschool - you might pray for them! The kiddos and I will probably be leaving during the first part of October - making a long trip to visit lots of family along the way, but mostly for pain relief out of the humidity!

It is said that kid's play imitates life. Well our kids play moving, meeting the neighbors, inviting them for dinner, making new friends, going to the library to pick up their books on hold (a whole different story!), and travel! Would you say that imitates our life.

Honestly, we are all looking forward to this next step, and we would LOVE your prayers for us.
