Culture.....even if it kills you!

Sunday afternoon, we were blessed (or cursed....depending on how you look at it) to spend the afternoon at Locust Grove for a lawn concert. This week's concert featured the Hudson Valley Philharmonic principal players performing Mozart's Oboe Quartet and a variety of other classical music. It was music to my ears! The kids had GREAT fun because they could run around and play on the huge lawn behind us. Because they are homeschooled and have socialization issues (sarcasm!), they introduced themselves to 3 little girls, learned how to make flower necklaces and bracelets from them, and made new friends!

We packed a picnic lunch, spread out on the lawn, enjoyed GREAT music, had a homeschool field trip, and brought down the average age of attendance by about 40 years!:)

Next week is Saints of Swing....an electric selection of Swing classics, Jazz, Motown, R & B, Blues, Gospel and Latin....

can't wait!
