More on our California trip!

We spent a little bit of our Sunday afternoon in California at the beach just south of Balboa, but it was windy and cool so we didn't stay a long time. As you can see, the temperature didn't keep the kiddos out of the water!

We had planned to take a picnic dinner down to the beach that evening, but it was WAY too cold! We ended up having room service instead and going to the hotel pool!

On the road again.....

Ramblings from our recent travels......this was a cut and paste of part of an email that I sent my sis today. I will get some pictures up later....maybe tomorrow and try to fill in a little more about our adventures.

We had a great time....(Reader's Digest Condensed version ahead)....

~such a fun time w/ Telfer and Andrea....wish we lived closer so that we could really get to know them!

~good time at the beach in Newport, but it will never be Cannon Beach for me....too many people, not as pretty and lots of trash! Balboa Island was very much like Seaside, but the houses were stacked right on top of each other and the traffic was terrible! We did have a really good breakfast on Sunday at Wilma's Patio in Balboa. Side note is that we enjoyed the Fairmont at Newport Beach A LOT and the food that we had from room service each night was EXCELLENT!

~rained out at Legoland on Monday so we went to Disneyland instead....surprised the kiddos and they had a blast!

~went to Legoland yesterday.....left around 4:00 pm and drove all the way home....got here about 11:30 pm after 3 potty stops, 2 food stops, a Border Patrol stop, and one stop for gas right around the corner from the house so that Troy would be able to get to work this morning at 5:00.

That about sums it up.....needless to say, we are all a little tired today! Pictures will follow....when I have recovered and made a dent in the laundry pile!
